Sou Fujimoto Architects Unveils Three Striking New Projects

Hida Furukawa Station Eastern, Takayama, Japan

Sou Fujimoto Architects has unveiled its striking design for the new Hida Furukawa Station Eastern in Takayama, Japan. The station, which will serve as a gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hida Valley, features a series of interconnected, transparent volumes that create a fluid, open space.

New City Center, Sendai, Japan

Sou Fujimoto Architects has also revealed the winning design of the New City Center in Sendai, Japan. The project, which will be located in the city's Aoba Ward, includes a 39-story mixed-use tower, a public plaza, and a network of pedestrian pathways.

Nine Arches Bridge, London, England

In London, Sou Fujimoto Architects is working on the Nine Arches Bridge, a new pedestrian and cycle bridge that will span the River Lea. The bridge, which is scheduled to open in 2025, will feature a series of nine parabolic arches that create a distinctive, sculptural form.
