$51 million deal includes $19.25 million guaranteed at signing

Raiders extend tight end through the 2026 season

The Las Vegas Raiders and tight end Darren Waller have agreed to a three-year, $51 million contract extension, the team announced Friday. The deal includes $19.25 million guaranteed at signing and has a base value of $25 million over the next two years, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero.

Waller, 29, has been one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL since joining the Raiders in 2018. He has caught 232 passes for 2,728 yards and 23 touchdowns in 62 games with the team.

The Raiders selected Waller in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech. He spent his first three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before being traded to the Raiders in 2018.

Waller's extension is the latest in a series of moves by the Raiders to bolster their offense this offseason. The team also signed wide receiver Davante Adams and running back Kenyan Drake in free agency.

With Waller, Adams, and Drake in the fold, the Raiders are expected to have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL in 2022.
