2 Pacers Named As Possible Trade Targets For The Pistons

Pacers’ Myles Turner, Buddy Hield on Pistons’ Trade Radar

‘Very strong possibility’ Indiana big man, sharpshooter could be moved before Feb. 9 deadline

Detroit looking to bolster playoff hopes with experienced talent

The Detroit Pistons are reportedly eyeing two Indiana Pacers players, Myles Turner and Buddy Hield, ahead of the Feb. 9 NBA trade deadline. Sources have indicated that there is a "very strong possibility" that the Pacers could move both players to bolster their rebuilding efforts.

Turner, a 6-foot-11 center, is averaging 17.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game this season. He is one of the league's premier rim protectors and would provide the Pistons with a much-needed defensive presence in the paint. Hield, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, is averaging 17.3 points per game while shooting 40.3% from three-point range. He would give Detroit a reliable outside shooting threat to complement young stars Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey.

The Pistons are currently 15-42, but they have shown signs of improvement under first-year head coach Dwane Casey. The addition of Turner and Hield could help them make a push for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers, on the other hand, are 23-34 and are likely to miss the playoffs for the second consecutive season. They are looking to acquire young players and draft picks in exchange for their veteran players.

Both Turner and Hield have been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks. Turner has been linked to several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns. Hield has been mentioned as a possible trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat.

If the Pistons are able to acquire Turner and Hield, it would be a significant boost to their playoff hopes. However, they will likely have to give up some young players or draft picks in return.
