Jimenez's homer came in the third inning off Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela. The solo shot gave the Orioles a 2-0 lead.
However, the Rockies stormed back with a four-run fourth inning. Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run homer, and Ryan McMahon added a two-run single.
The Orioles answered back with a three-run fifth inning, but the Rockies added two more runs in the sixth to take an 8-5 lead.
The Orioles scored two more runs in the eighth inning, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Rockies' lead.
