Fuel Pump Replacement: A Step-by-Step Guide

Procedure

To replace the fuel pump in a 2003 Toyota Tundra SR5 4.7L V8, follow these steps:

1. Remove the fuel lines. Pry off the clips and pull the two fuel lines on top of the fuel pump assembly out.
2. Unscrew the retaining cap. Unscrew the retaining cap on the fuel pump.
3. Pull out the fuel pump. Grip the fuel pump and pull it out of the fuel tank.
4. Install the new fuel pump. Insert the new fuel pump into the fuel tank and secure it with the retaining cap.
5. Attach the fuel lines. Push the fuel lines onto the fuel pump and secure them with the clips.

Note: It is important to replace the fuel filter at the same time as the fuel pump. The fuel filter is located in the fuel line near the fuel tank.
